Award Staffing is working with a client who has been manufacturing and designing high quality innovative products since 1967. This large and clean facility produces dental molds and hearing aids and strives to work with customers from inception to delivery. They provide their ideal product with both quick and responsive turnaround times.


Position Title: VTM Finisher

Schedule: Monday- Friday

Hours: 6: 30am- 3: 00pm

Pay rate: $11/hr


 

Position Description:

Based on the finishing level of completion, the employee is responsible to do the manual labor in the VTM RP lab associated with prototype models and Quickcast patterns, as well as dental and ear mold support as needed while ensuring compliance to the company s quality management system.


Level I

1.Provide finishing to Quickcast patterns to meet standards.

2.Must be able to patch, fill, and pressure test all Quickcast patterns to meet standards.

3. Must be able to post process (support removal) all Quickcast patterns while being in compliance with company safety rules and regulations, properly handling resin waste and properly disposing of any chemicals.

4.Must be able to maintain a clean environment in the VTM lab.


Level II

1. Perform different levels of finishing to meet customer requirements. (Polish, buff, clear coat, HLVP painting, aerosol spray paint, bonding, etc).

2.Must be able to provide swamp (post processing) support and remove supports from all geometric parts while being in compliance with company safety rules and regulations, properly handling resin waste and properly disposing of any chemicals.

3.Must be able to bond or repair RP models to meet standards as needed.


Level III

1. Provide support for loading and unloading SLA and Polyjet machines.

2. Must be able to perform SLA vat swaps as needed.

3. Must be able to provide basic maintenance on Polyjet machines.

4. Must be able to use HVLP spray guns and meet painting requirements.

5. Must be familiar with Solidview.

6. Help trouble shoot SLA and Polyjet machines.

7. Backup programming and setup.

8. Backup machine and production scheduling.


Additional job functions:

1. Must be familiarized with the scanning system and travelers.

2. Update and maintain log sheets within the VTM lab.

3. Using a dial or digital caliper, measure RP and QC parts for verification purposes.

4. Initiate the corrective/preventive action processes as needed.

5. May need to perform additional job-related activities as required or assigned.

6. Communicate with customer sales support as needed.


Skills:

Technical:

Must have or learn and obtain knowledge and understanding of RP and QC parts finishing levels and standards.

Must have or learn the basic knowledge and understanding of operating and troubleshooting of all SLA and Polyjet machines and lab equipment.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

Must have attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Must be attentive and able to take direction.

Must be able to read, write, and comprehend directions and work instructions.

Must be able to interact with co-workers courteously and professionally.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Having critical thinking and problem solving skills are a plus.

Having great mathematical skill is a plus.

 

Physical:

Must have good hand control and finger dexterity.

Must be able to see details at a close range.

Must be able to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms for an 8 hour shift.

Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to bend or stoop occasionally during an 8 hour shift.
