Source, recruit and screen qualified candidates for job openings at client company locations.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Interview and screen job applicants.
  • Work closely with clients on assigned accounts to fill orders for temporary and contract staff with qualified employees.
  • Utilize staffing software to manage candidate, employee and client information and to efficiently fill staffing orders.
  • Utilize various job boards and the internet to source and recruit candidates for placement at various client companies.
  • Offer specific candidate recommendations to client companies.
  • Work with temporary employees, both in person and over the phone, to answer questions they may have associated with current job openings through Award Staffing, assignments they are on through Award Staffing and other various issues they may have as they arise.
  • Counsel temporary employees on how to be professional interviewees when interviewing at a client company.
  • Maintain relationships with assigned clients by providing courteous phone customer service and reporting issues to management in a timely manner as appropriate.
  • Supervise and manage temporary employee performance on a day to day basis and partner with Human Resources to discipline, if necessary.
  • Prepare for weekly inventory meetings by interviewing candidates with skill sets that match recruiting needs forecasted by the Business Development Team, identifying key accomplishments candidates have achieved in past jobs.
  • Present candidates and candidates key accomplishments at weekly inventory meetings.
  • Administer background checks, drug tests, skills tests and other pre-assignment requirements to job candidates.
  • Update clients on the status of their orders and accounts with frequent phone and email communication.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of current industry pay structure for positions held within Award Staffing with Business Development Team.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance by ensuring I-9 documentation is current.


Minimum Position  Qualifications 
  • Excellent phone manner.   Recruiters handle an extremely high volume of inbound phone calls from candidates, employees and clients each day.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including various daytime hours, nights and weekends, to support the operational needs of the business.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of tasks daily.
  • The ability to read and respond to a high volume of emails each day.  Recruiters receive an average of 200 emails daily.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience using MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Hmong is a plus.
