Position Status: Direct Hire
Position Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Pay Rate: $20-25+
Schedule: M-F
Hours: 6am-2: 30pm (Needed for emergencies as well)
OT Required: Likely

Position Description:
Responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks performed at facilities and on equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned):
> Monitors maintenance operations for efficiency and safety while ensuring all regulatory requirements
are satisfied.
> Oversees maintenance process and/or staff.
> Performs the same work duties as those of whom they supervise. May perform or assist with more
difficult skilled tasks.
> Collaborates with production staff and upper management to resolve maintenance issues.
> Prepares and maintains employee records if applicable.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (list below, if applicable):
> May serve as a direct report for maintenance staff.

Skills/ Requirements for the position:
A. Equipment Used: Operates equipment such as, but not limited to, hand and power tools, hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, torches, drills, forklifts, cranes, files, grinders and calculators. Wears protective safety gear as required.
B. Certificates, licenses, and registrations: None.
C. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of raw materials, production process, quality control and costs, knowledge of hand tools and equipment as described above. Knowledge of specific and general safety policies and procedures as relates to the plant and the position.
D. Education/Experience: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required. Six months to one year related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
E. Language Skills: Oral comprehension and expression. Ability to read and write. Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of personnel.
F. Mathematical Skills: Knowledge of basic math, algebra, geometry and their applications.
G. Reasoning Ability: Inductive and deductive reasoning, ability to evaluate and diagnose problems and draw conclusions.

H. Attendance Requirement: Regular attendance required during plant hours. Occasional overtime.
I. Travel Requirement: Not applicable.
J. Physical Demands: Majority of the time is spent standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Must have good eye hand coordination.
K. Work Environment: Consists of smoke, irritating particular impurities, chemical fumes and hot and cold temperatures.
