Position Status: Direct Hire
Position Title: Development Technician I
Pay Rate: $25-28/hr
Schedule: Mon-Fri
Hours: Shift flexibility-Based on candidates need. Will be required to work 8 hours on 1st shift with a start time ranging from 6am-10am.
OT Required: TBD

SUMMARY
Supports the Process Development team in prototype builds, setup and running of equipment. Communication of project status as needed/requested in relation to timelines and customer delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to complete basic Setup equipment.
Ability to read/interpret basic prints and engineering documents.
Utilize manual and/or automated measurement equipment/tools. Utilize data collection forms and SPC software.
Have intermediate computer skill. Able to utilize Microsoft Office, SPC software and ERP system from a production process aspect; batch assignment, time tracking
Produce prototypes for customer evaluation as well as engineering samples
Produce product through Development cycle, including validation as necessary
Capture and record all setup data.
Assist in execution of protocols and have working knowledge of process control.
Ability to identify basic technical problems, and consult with engineering, supervisor or other coworkers.
Ensure routings are accurate and that inaccurate routings are identified as needing updated
Assist with scanning of documentation to the network
Follow set training program for position and ensure training requirements are up to date. Use training software to ensure training is complete in timely manner.
Demonstrate safe work habits; maintain clean and safe work area.

Core Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma, 1+ years Senior Operator or Manufacturing Technician at HMC or 2-3 years in related industry. Medical component or device manufacturing is preferred. Able to demonstrate understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience in any of the following: injection molding, assembly, coiling, stamping, mill machining, basic inspection tools, SPC and intermediate computer aptitude. Must have ability to work standard hours set for position.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment. Must report to work daily on time and be respectful to co-workers. Will follow work direction and documented procedures. Must be adaptive to change and support a variety of work assignments in support of internal and external customer expectations.

Physical Demands
Ability to perform lifting (up to 35 pounds), bending, stooping, sitting and standing throughout the day. Good peripheral vision, hand/eye coordination.
