Award Staffing is looking for a contract Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary
Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Five Key Accountabilities
Review, verify, enter and upload invoices and check requests
Prepare and perform check runs
Maintain vendor files
Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
Support internal customer requests

Duties and Responsibilities

Review, verify, enter, and upload invoices and check requests
Ensure accuracy of data being entered into the system.
Ensure appropriate approvals on all invoices.
Sort, code and match invoices.
Enter invoices timely for payment.

Prepare and perform check runs
Review checks selected for accuracy.
Ensure timely payment of our vendor invoices.
Timely mailing of checks.

Maintain vendor files
File vendor invoices timely and accurately.
Maintain W-9 for all active vendors.
Run 1099 process.

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
Work with vendors and business partners to resolve any concerns on invoices.
Respond timely to all requests.
Accurate and timely follow up with business partners to enable quick resolution to all invoice issues.
Drive issues to resolution.

Support internal customer requests
Work with Illume teams to ensure appropriate data is shared.
Respond and resolve any issues timely.
Monday - Friday
Flexible start time, either 7am, 8am, or 9am, but once set it will be held to and will be an 8 hour day for 40 hours per week.
Pay Rate Range: $17.00/Hour

Skills & Knowledge Required
Knowledge of accounts payable
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Knowledge of relevant accounting software (preferred)
Proficient in data entry and management
1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
Organizing and prioritizing
Attention to detail and accuracy
Confidentiality
Communication skills
Problem-solving skills
Team work
Ability to meet deadlines
Education: Associate s Degree or equivalent work experience required
General face to face interview and prescreen with Award Staffing, then submit resume if qualified to Illume Candles/Michelle Norberg.
If accepted then we need to run background check Package A required, can NOT start until cleared and passed!
Must speak and read English fluently
Up to 10lbs occasionally
10- Key, Computer Skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Macola ERP system a plus.
